of the pillars of the \b \cf1 \ATXht15 opisthodomos\b0 \cf0 \ATXht0 was made of oak and that <<sixteen women>>, probably priestesses, used to weave a peplos for Hera every four years and held what were known as the Heran games. Only young women took pa
rt in these games, competing against one another in races. Like the men, the winners were rewarded with olive wreaths, but they also received a portion of the heifer sacrificed to Hera.\par
